Mission
UNA-USA PR coordinates programs and activities in the areas of education and volunteerism—while collaborating on concrete initiatives to promote, integrate, advance, measure, and finance the SDGs locally.
Through programs such as Model United Nations and United Nations Student Organizations; students (from 6th grade to university) are exposed to topics of interest to the international community, while developing skills such as critical thinking, oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation, conflict resolution, tolerance, dialogue, group work and consensus building — thereby empowering them with knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs and responsible global citizens.
Simultaneously, since October 2015, in response to the approval of the SDGs and the challenges facing Puerto Rico; UNA-USA PR collaborates in several initiatives to promote, integrate, advance, measure and finance the SDGs locally.
